World’s Most Valuable Baseball Player Cards
Even though Babe Ruth was the most popular and well known baseball player to ever put on a uniform, the player with the funny first name, had the most valuable baseball player card: Honus Wagner’s 1909 rookie card. However, sometimes the most valuable baseball card is not the most expensive. That prize belongs to the person holding the 1914 Baltimore News Babe Ruth baseball card worth 500,000 if it’s in good condition. Second place belongs to Honus Wagner’s rookie card that’s worth 300,000 in good condition. So you can plainly see, the most valuable card is not necessarily the most expensive. So if you owned the top three most expensive baseball player cards, the 2008 money talley would look like this: Babe Ruth rookie card, 3 to 5 million, Honus Wagner, 2 to 3 million, and filling out the top three is “Shoeless” Joe Jackson whose 1910 Old Mill baseball card in good condition would fetch 2 million. Sometimes you never know where a valuable baseball player card may turn up. One fellow found a Honus Wagner card in an old tobacco tin in his grandfather’s attic. It’s a rare occurance, but it happens. Next time, it could be you.
